Recently adopted as a tribe member by the Nutabe Indians, Scottie has dedicated his life to preserving indigenous practices while creating bridges between ancient wisdom and modern healing. He just opened his maloka in San Rafael, California, where he's building a self-sustaining off-grid community focused on authentic healing and indigenous rights preservation.
Scottie is the founder of the Ocóyái Free Medicine Music School, which has welcomed over 8,000 students in just five months, and the author of The Road Home, a book specifically written for military veterans navigating their own healing journeys. Through his work at www.ocoyai.com, he offers yagé retreats and holistic therapy informed by indigenous practices.
His mission is simple yet profound: help people heal through whatever means suits them, while honoring the sacred traditions that hold this ancient medicine. Scottie believes in doing the hard work to discover your true calling and impact on the world — then working relentlessly to serve that vision.
