Sounds familiar?  In a constantly connected world we're living right now, finding solitude has become a lost art.

Just like on social media, intentionally or not, we're prone to seeing all the good and the bad. We can't always control what we see because of the algorithm, the trends, paid ads, and sponsored posts. We're saturated with so much information.

Social media make us believe that it is essential to spend time around people–to be always on-the-go, to be a social being never running out of social battery all in the name of social connectivity. But in hindsight, too much 'people time' might also be a bad thing.

All too often, we usually equate being alone with loneliness, sadness or social isolation. But, seeking solitude can actually be quite healthy. Taking some time off as you spend more quality time alone, can be very beneficial to your overall well-being.
