Content Warning: Torture, Self Harm/Suicide, Physical Abuse, GoreOn this episode we broke out the iron chastity belts and locked ourselves in a dark basement for god-knows-how-long as we watched the 2008 French Extremity horror film “Martyrs”. Trigger warnings ABOUND for this film, but if you can get past the imprisonment and abuse towards women, self harm and extreme violence, honestly this is just a really beautiful film about love and friendship (No, really it is). We both highly recommend this movie for it’s cinematography, great performances from the 2 lead actresses, the films atypical narrative structure and an ending that’ll haunt you in all the best way. And just like the movie itself, you’ll want to stick around til the very end of this episode. Will you see God? find out!
