The Soil Matters Mike DiLegge
Mike DiLegge graduated in 2020 from the Center of Rhizosphere Biology in CSU's Horticulture Department. His research at CSU involved nematode biocontrol methods, plant-microbe interactions, and host-associated microbiome systems. Mike also helped to start and maintain the CSU Zero Waste Team, an
ongoing student organization focused on waste diversion and composting. Currently, he is Director of Microbiology at Impello Biosciences, where his research surrounds the intersection of biological and biochemical, ecologically-friendly, agricultural inputs targeted towards both crop- and soil-health
properties. One of several stewards of the Earth, in his free time, Mike likes to go foraging, bringing what's found back to his kitchen to make food or medicine.
