Christine Lenches-Hinkel is the Founder and CEO of 301 Organics, an environmental company dedicated to
producing chemical-free fertilizer alternatives from food and green waste. With a Master’s degree in Forestry, emphasizing International Resource Conservation from the University of Montana1, Christine has extensive experience in zero-waste and urban resources management. Her
expertise includes sustainability workshops, project management for organics recovery programs, and solid waste audits and assessments. Driven by a relentless desire to combat climate change, Christine’s cross-disciplinary
training and mission-motivated approach make her a leader in the field of sustainable organics management.
301 Organics offers California organic waste generators a
pathway to complying with SB 1383 that goes beyond the typical off-site hauling model or option. We design on-site and local food waste recovery and processing programs that not only meet the needs of hungry people through food
donations but also meets the needs of our urban soils and landscapes. We are focused on delivering local based climate change solutions that pave a new and sustainable way for managing our organic waste. We take great pride
in helping our clients understand their role in the future of the organics industry and bridging the knowledge gap between climate science and organic resource management in our cities. While our work is heavily steeped in the principles of soil science and regenerative agriculture, our goal is to help our clients see the cost savings and value in managing and using the organic waste they generate themselves. More importantly, we help our clients
make the connection between waste, climate change and healthy soil through compost to make the financial case to invest in local, on-site solutions.
