Aired June 17, 2024.
Over the recent King’s Birthday long weekend, more than 3000 young people and church youth team leaders took part in the annual State Youth Games.
The sport and arts event was based at Lardner Park near Warragul, with competitions also held in Warragul, Drouin and Moe.
The sports played ranged from basketball, soccer and dodgeball to e-sports and board games, while where were dance and arts workshops.
The evenings were a chance to meet new people, with worship rallies also held.
Taking in the festivities were two young women you’ll be hearing more of on Life FM, Kyra, who’ll be co-hosting Crossroads, and Mercedes, who’ll be hosting Youth On Beat. These are two locally-made shows you’ll be hearing later this year on Life FM.
