On July the 3rd, at the last minute, I decided to book a flight from Palm Beach International to the Atlanta Airport and go hike in the Appalachian Mountains. Well, I've done a number of adventures, but overnight hiking with a backpack full of all of your gear, weighing 50 pounds, including food and fluid, was something that took me way beyond my comfort zone. And as I got to the drop-off from my Uber car and I commenced the multi-hour walk up the Appalachian Approach Trail, I started to feel extreme fatigue and it was difficult for me. So when I had approximately three hours to go and it was getting late in the afternoon, I saw a sign that said, Hike In One Mile Away. And I said, Oh my goodness. Is there actually an inn there? Well, I decided to chance it and I thought that worst case scenario, there'd be some place I could pitch my tent. Well, anyway, it became my home base called Linfoot Inn and it is an environmentally friendly and ecologically advanced non-profit and that became a home base. And so what you're doing now is you are taking this prompt and you're going to write a ten minute script for my monologue podcast that details the Amicalola Falls in Georgia, magnificent waterfalls, the fauna and flora of the Appalachian Mountains, the difficulties of trekking in that harsh environment. You're going to do this all in the first person voice and conversational prose with a positive attitude.
