Today I saw a bicycle, reminding me of the process of learning to ride a bike, which I can then equate to the process of becoming increasingly moulded into God's ways and thinking. Yesterday, we pondered on our need in being a receptive new vessel in Christ in order to receive His teachings. Our changing into Christ's image is a process as it would be especially daunting if all that we need to change in us is revealed in one go. (See Deuteronomy 7:22). Also, if we were to immediately become a wonderful person, pride could take over in our hearts as it would be so easy to forget our constant dependency on God to be who we are. Knowing it is a process is good news as it means God is being patient with us. Also, we shouldn't forget to be patient with ourselves.
