We do not really know what lies ahead for us, despite our plans on paper or electronic devices. However, God does have secure plans for you, to make "you prosper, not to harm you and to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). These words had been specifically addressed to the exiles from Jerusalem, who had been carried into Babylon. God instructed them to settle in their place of exile and "Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper" (Jeremiah 29:7). Similarly, pray if you are in a situation which may feel alien and uncomfortable to you. Pray blessings on those around you so that you can prosper as they do.
