We know that nothing appears on a TV screen unless there is electrical power, unless the TV is connected to the power source and unless we actually turn the TV on. Similarly, we receive nothing from the Holy Spirit unless we are connected to the source of God and call upon Him. "Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought but the spirit Himself makes intercessions for us with groanings which cannot be uttered." (Romans 8:26)
