Today I saw a forked chicken wish bone which, in some cultures, is traditionally pulled apart by two people after the chicken has been cooked, cut and served. Whoever ends up with the longer piece is able to make a wish. Obviously this is fun and fanciful. In comparison, we have our hopes in God founded on His Word, which will come to pass and which are available to all. As Apostle Paul wrote, "For all the promises of God in him are yes, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us" (2 Corinthians 1:20). So, God's promises are fulfilled and affirmed. Don't let the opportunities to believe and declare God's promises pass you by. We are reminded that "For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened" (Matthew 7:8).
