Today I saw a simple comb which brings to mind the expression in English "to comb through..." which suggests to sift through, to investigate, to search thoroughly. I believe the Holy Spirit is encouraging us to reflect and carefully consider what and who we are prioritising in our lives. We don't want to miss out on the bridegroom's (Jesus's) arrival, as did the foolish virgins as mentioned in yesterday's highlighted parable (Matthew 25:1-13). Today let us be further encouraged in noting that by Jesus's grace He is wooing us constantly. It is by grace, not only because He doesn't want to give up on us, but also because it is His goodness that saves us, not any goodness of our own. However, we have the warning not to leave it too late. Jesus's parable of the Wheat and the Tares, as recounted in Matthew 13:24-30, helps in explaining this to us but we need the Holy Spirit's guidance in understanding.
