Today I saw a picture of a dark footprint very close to me facing towards me, with the impression that it was someone deterring me from doing God's Will. What is important is to know how to deal with our enemy. The enemy could very much be our attitude towards that person deterring us as well as the actual person.
Matthew 5:44-45a records Jesus as telling us, "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who.persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven ..." . If we are honest with ourselves, do we offer love and prayers towards the people deterring us, towards the situations deterring us? This truth can cover so many scenarios. If, for instance, we are trying to get to church on time, are we impatient with our slow family members, do we fail to stop to help someone who needs our help on the way?
Remember that how we achieve God's Will has to be done by following His path to get there in the first place.
