Today I saw a garden sieve. I remember my sister painstakingly removing the oversized stones and debris from a new plot of earth she had bought, using a large sieve, and subsequently sowing seeds and developing a beautiful garden. She has worked diligently all her life with great kindness. However, even her impressive life cannot give her eternal life. We need to choose to be part of God's new covenant where He wants fellowship with all of us forever. How does this occur? Referring to Jesus and His death on the cross, the author of the Epistle to the Hebrews 9:15 tells us: "Therefore He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant". If you have never gone against God's laws, as in His covenant with Moses, then you can automatically be in a covenant relationship with God. Are you sure you qualify? Jesus gets us there. Do you want a covenant relationship with God with His promises of peace, joy and eternal life?Jesus gets us there.
