Today I saw a giant cup and saucer as used in a fairground. They whirl round and round at a fast pace, clockwise and anti clockwise. They are not my "cup of tea"! However, some people love them. There are many opinions in this world such as with the origin of the actual word "tea". Some people think its etymology is based on a Portuguese queen in the 17th century introducing tea to England as part of her dowry, brought in crates marked with the words Transporte de Ervas Aromáticas - (T.E.A.) - aromatic herbs. Others believe the word evolved from China with its pronunciation and transliteration to cha. Recent Daily Picture devotionals have stressed the importance of not being hung up on differences which are not detrimental in our loving God and others. We have choices set before us. Some of Jesus's instructions are invitations, not commandments but I personally choose to believe that they are highly significant. Chapter 14 in the Gospel of John is packed with what could be controversial messages from Jesus. He says He is The way, the Truth and The Life, God speaks through Him, His Holy Spirit can live in us and He is preparing a permanent home for us. He says He gives us peace and tells us not to worry or be fearful. What and who are you choosing in life?
