Beatrix Potter, who created the famous character Peter Rabbit, also created Mr Tod, a handsome fox who was always trying to deceive the other animals. This fictional character draws me to Jesus's words where He warns us to be aware of "false prophets. They come in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognise them" (Matthew 7:15-16). Sometimes it takes a while to see the "fruit" of another but I pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and protect us from making poor decisions in whom we think we can trust.
