Today I saw a large gaping wound which clearly needed cleansing, being pulled together and stitched up. We are unlikely to be able to deal with that wound on our own. As Saturday's message reminded us, we need to help each other. Also, there are also many bible verses declaring God as healing our wounds, physical and emotional, such as: "Psalm 147:3 "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds"; Jeremiah 30:17 "For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord ..."; 1 Peter 2:24 "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteusness. By his wounds you have been healed".
