Today I saw a needle and thread above a tapestry. Every stitch contributes to the full picture. Sometimes a seemingly insignificant act or moment ends up being of great significance in the whole tapestry of our lives. Let's not waste any of the potentially precious moments of our life. Also, as with tapestries, mistakes can be undone. God doesn't want us to be too hard on ourselves. Guilt and shame can have devastating effects on our life's tapestry. However far back our wrongdoings, God wants to undo those wrong "stitches", in other words to forgive us. In 1John 1:9 we read, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". Proud people are unable to confess their wrongdoings; they find ways to justify and excuse themselves. We need to humbly confess and then God can cleanse us, unpick the wrong stitches so to speak and transform us so we can continue to create a beautiful tapestry of our life, positively impacting those around us.
