Description

Today I had a picture of dried spaghetti. There are so many other varieties of pasta such as penne, fusilli, lasagne, ravioli, gnocchi, linguine, macaroni etc. Many Italians read the packaging well as, in fact, it is important to check that the wheat quality, milling, processing and drying methods are of the highest standard. How am I going to relate that to today's message? Christians are part of the body of Christ but each and everyone of us, as applies to the entire human family, is unique. God cares about all of us deeply, from the moment He conceived of us to every detail in our life. This is declared and celebrated in the bible. God knows us all intimately (Matthew 10:29-31) and wants to heal us. All of us need some sort of healing from hurts in our life in some form and degree. I Peter 2:24 tells us, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed". The wounds mentioned here are the lashings Jesus received before carrying His cross and being crucified. Remember, He knows us intimately, loves us, wants to heal us and has already made the way possible.
