Description

Today I saw a black and white zebra pedestrian crossing. This brings to mind Jesus's words about the church in Laodicea: "I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm - neither hot nor cold - I am about to spit you out of my mouth". (Revelation 3:15-16). This was in the context of Laodicea being known for its aqueducts that provided lukewarm water. Jesus was using this analogy to describe half hearted, complacent Christianity. In contrast, Jesus is desiring enthusiastic faith or even an honest clear opposition of christianity without pretending to follow Him.
