Today, in my mind's eye, I saw a picture of a slingshot which I immediately connect to the bible account (1 Samuel 17) of the then young shepherd boy David who slew the Philistine giant Goliath who King Saul and his entire army had been terrified of. Goliath had been challenging them every morning and evening for 40 days, waiting for one person to face him. David looked at God and said he had been prepared by Him with his slingshot shot skills as a shepherd boy and absolutely knew that he could slay Goliath with God behind him. This he duly did with a perfectly aimed fatal shot into Goliath's forehead. He didn't need the armour that King Saul had offered him as its heavy weight was an encumbrance to him. So, on behalf of the nation of Israel, David faced Goliath with the confidence that he had the power of God. We can do the same when we face our metaphorical giants, knowing that God will have prepared us for what we are facing and that we have His power behind us.
