A sweet teddy bear does not depict any bear in reality in this world. Similarly we may find sweetness and comfort in things that actually are just a shadow and an inadequate representation of the reality of an awesome God. God wants us to understand Him and His kindness, justice and righteous which are qualities He delights in (Jeremiah 9:23-24), to know that we are "members of His household" (Ephesians 2:19); to trust in His plans for us which give us a future with hope (Jeremiah 29:11) and to believe Him for His glorious riches for us as His child (Ephesians 3:16).
