Very few people escape trauma and drama in their lives, as represented by the picture I saw of a stormy sky and a sea with breakers still crashing on to the shore. Just today I have a friend whose baby girl in utero may not survive, there was an inevitable losing team in the European football finals last night who are now feeling devastated and I have another friend whose mobile cell phone was stolen at a wedding in London. We need God's perspective, strength and guidance. Going back to the incident of Elijah hiding for his life in a cave, enduring a huge wind that broke up rocks, then an earthquake and finally a fire, all of which in isolation would be horrendous but then came God's still small voice. He brought Elijah His perspective, peace and comfort. (1 King 19:11ff). Let us quieten our mind, hearts and souls to be in God's presence and hear Him.
