Today I saw an image of a whirlpool which has brought to mind the recent account in newspapers around the world of an heroic 4 hour swim in the choppy ocean by a young 13 year old Australian boy in order to get help for his stranded mother and two younger siblings. In an interview he plainly attributes his strength and success to God. Sadly no mention of God is made in the secular papers. The world is trying to provide protection from the offence that truth might bring. Let us be careful in not dismissing truth, such as in yesterday's devotional where we hear that the people of Jesus's small hometown of Nazareth were offended by His miracles and words associated with God as he was merely a carpenter's son to them. Receiving Truths, however small, could have a huge positive impact on our lives. As Jesus said, "And you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free" (John 8:32)
