Description

Today I saw a white triangle which was a sail making up part of a simplified yacht image. I think on the Trinity - Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit - appearing together at Jesus's baptism in the river Jordan. "As soon as Jesus was baptised, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on Him. And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased" (Matthew 3:16-17). This was before Jesus had started His ministry on earth so God wasn't pleased because of His good works. John the Baptist had at first been reluctant to baptise Jesus as he felt it should have been the other way round. Jesus said, "it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness" (Matthew 3:13). The righteousness is in trusting and obeying God. That is what God is pleased with. Hebrews 11 gives wonderful accounts of people of faith who were righteousness because of their trust in God and accompanying actions. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6).
