Today I saw an hour glass which is a timing device with 2 connected bulbs, from which sand is transferred from one bulb to another in one hour. They can actually be of varying units of time such as 10 minutes or as little as 30 seconds. I think the point here is that we do not know the exact length of the remainder of our lives. As such, we should take precious care of all this unknown time. Trusting God is how we can do this and proving our trust is by obeying Him. "Be very careful, then, how you live, not as unwise but wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's Will is" (Hebrews 5:15-17).
