Description

Today I saw a window with an inky black sky behind. When Jesus was on the cross, from 12 to 3.00 p.m., there was utter darkness which must have been terrifying at that time of the day. Then, at Jesus's exact point of death, the thick temple curtain amazingly tore in two from the top to the bottom making the Holiest of Holies accessible to all, instead of just to the High Priest. There was a dramatic earthquake with tombs opening and many holy people coming back to life. (Extracted from Matthew 27:45-53) Because of His purity, Jesus at His death, conquered death, the blackest of all conditions. We can identify with Jesus as our Saviour taking our sin, so we can also have this victory.
"Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." (1 Corinthians 15:55-57).
