Description

I saw an old fashioned bath which reminds me of the fanciful story of the king who wanted to have a bath made for his Queen. He measured the required size by counting his handspans, using his outstretched hand and measuring from the tip of his little finger to the tip of his thumb. Unfortunately the carpenter's handspan was much smaller than that of the king's so the bath he made was too small. That is why the ruler, with standardised measurements, was introduced so everyone can follow the same rules of measurement. Similarly, we all need to follow God's rules as revealed in the ministry of Moses with the 10 commandments. However, none of us can follow these rules perfectly. Thankfully, with the ministry of Jesus, He takes us in our imperfect state and connects our spirit to God's perfect Holy Spirit. This is grace in that we are not receiving the punishment we deserve for not following the rules perfectly. Our spirit will live forever when connected to God's Holy Spirit. As Paul says is 1 Corinthians 15:54 "Death has been swallowed up in victory."!
