Today I continue to think of the message that seems to have been ringing in my mind recently of not just expecting to see God in the spectacular etc. Expect God in the ordinary, maybe even in the boring. Humble yourself to expect Him at any time and in fact at all times. Be waiting for Him with excited anticipation. Naaman, Commander of the army of the king of Aram, a land which now takes up most of Syria, had wealth and status but was inflicted by incurable leprosy. He went to Prophet Elisha in Israel and expected to pay a fortune and to be required to take dramatic actions or at least for God to perform dramatically. But no, God used Elisha to instruct Naaman, via a messenger, to wash himself seven times in the River Jordan. Naaman was initially angry at such a commonplace instruction via a servant. However, he then saw sense, followed Prophet Elisha's instructions and his skin was restored to that of a young boy, with no payment required. (2 Kings 5). Wow. In the ordinary, God was awesome.
