I saw a barbed wire fence which at first looked ominous until I was reminded of a story my father had made up when I was a little girl. I used to sit on his lap and I loved to listen to his deep, resonant voice recounting his stories. in this particular one, a little blue woollen man had got stuck on a barbed wire fence but of course he got saved in my loving father's story! This makes me further think on the words Jesus spoke, asking us to come to Him with young childlike faith, simply trusting Him. As adults, don't we have many attributes which could potentially deter us from simply believing Jesus and following Him? These are qualities such as being argumentative, judgemental, scared of being taken for a fool, fearful of what might happen in the future, being overly analytical and clever with our limited facts etc. Young children simply trust that what they need is coming their way. Sadly, some learn very early on in their lives that they have no human to support them and this is tragic. Jesus wants us to trust Him and to come to Him fully.
