Description

Today I am reminded of the word "cool" which has many different connotations in English - not warm, awesome, fashionable, calm, aloof, indifferent. Incorrectly interpreted words can make a big difference. God, through His prophets and His son Jesus, speaks concisely whereby there can be no misunderstanding. Jesus said, "I am The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6). There is no mistaking what He is saying. God warns us not to gravitate between believing and not believing, "Because you are lukewarm, neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth." (Revelations 3:16) Do we water down the Gospel or share it enthusiastically, speaking the Truth in love? Others, we are sharing the Gospel with, can tell if we have conviction or not. If you are struggling to decide what to believe, the Holy Spirit speaks through His apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to build you up. "Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming" (Ephesians 4:14). We need to be decisive regarding Jesus's decisive teachings. It is not Pick 'n Mix. All His Truths are spoken in love.
