Today, in my mind's eye, I saw dining room chairs stacked up as in storage. It has made me think that sometimes a human tendency is to put potentially useful things aside, into storage, for our possible future use and then they are forgotten or eventually discarded. What a waste. We sometimes do that with the giftings God has for us, in the form of talents, opportunities, instructions to us to bless another person and then there are also specific Holy Spirit gifts of Words of Wisdom, Words of Knowledge, Discerning of Spirits, Faith, Miracles, Healing, New Languages, Interpretation of those Languages and Prophecy (see 1 Corinthians 12). Do we sometimes ignore, misuse and waste God's gifts to us, the first being His presence in our lives?
