Description

I saw a sheep wedged tight between a wall and metal wire fencing. The sheep was making no attempt to extricate itself but perhaps it had given up? After I requested help, the sheep was eventually released and she simply walked off as if nothing had happened. Then another sheep came and stood on the wall and could easily have slipped into the same gap. Are we like that? Are we unaware of our precariously sinful condition? If and when we are saved are we aware of its significance? Are we thankful? Do we follow others who are foolish?
The final sentence in a book often encapsulates the main message or purpose of the book. The last sentence in the bible says, "The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all" (Revelations 22:21). Grace is receiving what we don't deserve. God wants all to receive His unconditional love and salvation. The issue isn't who deserves it as no one does. It is an unconditional gift. Let's not ignore the gift like a foolish sheep.
