Different religions, cultures, cuisines and health experts etc have a vast range of views on, and uses for, garlic. For instance devotees of Jainism don't eat garlic as they are lacto vegetarians who don't eat root vegetables so as not to injure small insects and micro organisms whilst one Asian nation I know puts out bowls of raw garlic cloves as a snack. As with garlic there are so many subjects with diverse opinions and traditions. Social media is awash with them. In answer to a religious leader's question to Jesus when He was here on earth as to what is the greatest commandment, "Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your soul and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments". (Matthew 22:36-40). Have you ever considered that, perhaps paradoxically, God's simple Law of Love provides us with clarity and freedom?
