Today I saw a piece of material which had been stitched along the edge with one single thread. This was being pulled to gather the material to make pleats to form a waist band for a skirt. This is a good reminder that when the Body, that is the Family, of Christ pulls together, with God at the centre, we encourage and help each other. Yes, we all have to have our own special individual relationship with God but that doesn't preclude the need for us to spend time together. Many verses and recounted events in the bible remind us of the importance of this. "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward God and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another ..." (Hebrews 10:24-25).
