Today I saw two large shapes next to each other from which peered out a shadow from between them, giving me the sense of hiding in cracks. In the bible there are various verses indicating the sense of hiding away in fear or in shame for safety. Isaiah 2:19 describes, "And men will go into cracks of the rocks and into holes of the earth, for fear of the Lord, and before the glory of His power, when He comes out of His place, shaking the earth with His strength". If we know God and His love for us, we need not fear Him knowing everything about us, sin and all. How could hiding help if He knows where we are and knows everything about us? As believers, His Spirit convicts us of wrong and leads us to desire to change increasingly into His image. (1 John 3:20). He knows our motives and why we are the way we are. He understands, wants to help and comfort us. That is such a positive in our Christian lives.
