Description

The words lonely and alone are not necessarily synonymous as one can feel lonely when in a crowd of people. Once we have a connection with God through Jesus and His Holy Spirit, we realise we have a tangible relationship. God created us and knows we need physicality and He will provide that for us, such us with that timely call from a friend and a lovely chance encounter with a stranger. Life with God is certainly not lonely. We read from the start that God wants to provide us with companionship. "Then the Lord God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him". (Genesis 2:18). Even after Jesus knew he was about to physically leave this earth, knowing He was going to be crucified, He reassured His disciples "I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you" (John 14:18). By this statement, He was referring to His Holy Spirit which is available to all of us, to reside in us.
