Today I saw the sun shining brightly through some large kitchen windows bathing me in light, reminding me to look in God's direction, rather than looking around at other parts of the home representing, in this analogy, our problems. Often we focus on our sins, our real and perceived sicknesses rather than on Jesus on the cross taking away our sins and sicknesses. If we look at God's light first and foremost He will then shed light on our problems to guide us and help us. Wait for His perfect timing. Waiting on God could have the two meanings of to serve Him and, secondly, to wait and trust in His timing. So put God first and look towards His light which will shed light all around us. "Look to the Lord and his strength. Seek his face always" (1 Chronicles 16:11).
