I saw a picture of a box of grapes which were clearly going mouldy. They certainly would not make good grape juice or wine however good a process we were to use or however much we would want a good production. This is not to do with starting with something which has potential for change and growth. This picture of mouldy grapes could be an analogy of choices and first steps which are simply wrong from the start. Let us ask God's Holy Spirit to guide us in our choices and be with us on our journey, Also, we need His wisdom to discern whether we have stepped on to the wrong path or a good path which has the potential to improve. Jesus performed His first miracle, at the wedding in Cana, during which the water He was with was transformed into amazing wine. Is Jesus in our first step? Are we, figuratively, holding on to the wrong person or situation which actually has never been going in the right direction for us?
