Today I saw the bow of a shjp in the water. Then I saw an imagery of Jack and Rose in the film "Titanic" with the iconic scene of Jack holding Rose around the waist, instructing her to trust him, to climb up on to the apex of the ship's bow with her eyes closed and her arms outstretched. When she opens her eyes her breath is taken away by the beauty of the expanse of sea ahead of her. She proclaims with exhilaration that she feels like she is flying. God similarly wants us to trust Him whilst He holds on to us with our arms outstretched in a posture of relaxation and open to receiving. Perhaps the open ocean could also represent eternity ahead if we can really trust that it will be a beautiful experience and it starts now?
