Are we an Option or a Choice? A wise friend recently framed that question regarding relationships. Let us be wise and accept that those who only see us as an option in their life have that right to do so and to stop giving them priority in our life. Whilst we are busy holding on to misplaced priorities we could then miss the one who will treat us as priority. What about Jesus? He died for you so you certainly are a priority to Him. Is He simply an option, for you to occasionally look towards, or have you chosen to follow Him and to prepare yourself for His return as promised by Him? We heard yesterday, as quoted from Revelations 1:3 & 7, that He will come again suddenly and unannounced. Jesus also tells us in the Gospel of Matthew 24:36 "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father". Jesus warns us a little later on, as recounted in Matthew 25, to not be like the foolish virgins who were not prepared for the bridegroom's sudden arrival. Remember we are the Bride of Christ so let us learn and look out for the signs of His return, even though we will not know the exact time. God's Holy Spirit can guide us in this.
