Description

Today I have been contemplating on the fact that there are no physical descriptions of Jesus in any of the 4 Gospel accounts of Jesus's human life on earth because Who He is, how He behaved and what He taught on earth are what are of utmost importance. His outward appearance has not been considered. In John 6:29 we are told that Jesus said, "The work of God is this, to believe in the one He has sent". Jesus is our example as to how we should behave and speak. This is dependent on us believing in Him and all he taught and directed His followers to do. For instance, Jesus instructs His followers to receive His unique peace and, as such, to not let our hearts be troubled or to be afraid (John 14:27). Of course without believing "in the one He has sent" we will not be able to follow these or any other of His instructions. Is outward appearance of more importance to us?
