Description

Today I saw a seemingly idyllic view of paradise with a beautiful meadow interspersed with beautiful little flowers and me running through it with my arms outstetched, rejoicing in my pure freedom. I have to confess that I felt a pang of panic at the thought of leaving this earth and being in paradise. A current situation in my life has poignantly reminded me of the fragility of my life here on earth. Thankfully, God's Word has redirected me to His peace and joy. The Letter to the Romans 8:28 tells us that God works for the good of those who love him. I can absolutely attest to the fact that God has made good out of every bad situation I have been through in life. Previous verses in that same chapter remind us to focus on our spiritual life and that "the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace" (Romans 8:6). Let us remember that our eternal life begins at the point of receiving Jesus here on earth. There is a change of location when we leave this earth but from the start of our eternity we are in God's Kingdom and there is no change in that.
