Joseph and Mary took their first born baby son, Jesus, to the Temple in Jerusalem as was required by the Law of Moses, with the sacrifice of either 2 young pigeons or 2 doves, signifying the consecration of one's life and the repentance of sin. Two devout prophets in the Temple immediately recognised baby Jesus as assuredly going to be the long awaited Saviour (from mankind's sin and the effects of it) and Redeemer (paying the price so we can have a reinstated relationship with God) - Luke 2:22-38. These prophets, Simeon and Anna, listened to and were led by the Holy Spirit. Similarly, we can now have the Holy Spirit residing in us; He is the heart of God. If we stick close to the Holy Spirit He can lead us and reveal great Truths to us too.
