This morning I paused to reflect on the expression to "Strike when the iron's hot" which means to not waste time in doing what needs to be done, that is, to not procrastinate. I currently live and work in Portugal. Whilst recently back in the UK for a month I received many blessings, many of which emanated from making an effort to travel around and see family and friends. If I hadn't seized certain opportunities, and instead made excuses, I would have missed some of the blessings. I am sure I have missed blessings throughout life by staying in a safe zone, a lazy zone, a comfortable zone etc. Let's pay attention to the guidance, imaginations, enlightenment and opportunities God gives us, as maybe we are to act and when we do we will receive beautiful blessings. "The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied" (Proverbs 13:4).
