The long tail of a mouse and the long legs of a spider etc all expand our interpretation of the size of these creatures. Similarly, with our imagination we can create length, depth and height of fear and misgivings to a situation. "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love" (1 John 4:18). That means that when we believe in God's perfect love for us, we will have no fear in thinking that we deserve punishment and that God wants to punish us with bad situations.
