Description

Today I was reminded of an article I saw recently of an eagle catching a snake and taking it up in the sky to fight it, the point being that we are to fight our enemy in the spiritual zone rather than in its own comfort zone. For instance, our harmful negative thoughts could be our enemy. There could be a place which triggers off these thoughts. Instead, pray. We enter the spiritual zone when we pray. Apostle Paul describes our battles with our enemies as not against people but as against spiritual forces. He says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against ...the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms" (Ephesians 6:12). Without prayer the evil forces have power. Prophet Elisha prayed for his servant to "see" the spiritual forces when they had a huge physical army against them. (2 Kings 6:17). Prophet Daniel had the gift of seeing into the spiritual realm and prophetically speaking God's Word to His people. We read that he saw a huge angel who said he had taken 21 days to get to him after prayer. He had been delayed by spiritual forces. (Daniel 10:4-14). All this may seem fanciful and even ridiculous. If spiritual forces do exist they certainly would be very happy that you don't believe in them or in the good spiritual forces that can help you through prayer. Seek and you will find.
