Description

I was reminded of the following bible verses this morning: Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight." We actually need a renewing of our mind which is what the Holy Spirit does. To some people, what God says seems the opposite of wisdom and truth. Once we receive Jesus into our lives we really do have a different understanding of God and we become increasingly aligned with Him as we spend more and more time with Him. As the verses quoted above tell us, when we don't understand God, we are to still trust Him. When we ask for God's help, He may not provide it in the way we expect. For instance, we could ask for wisdom and then God may give us problems so we can learn to exercise that wisdom we want; if we want boldness, God will put us in situations that could potentially engender fear in us so that we can learn to build up our boldness and so on. It is exciting to have a relationship with Jesus and get to know Him but we need to remember to trust Him at all times even when we really do not understand what He is doing and why.
