This week on The Pondercast, Drew and Perry begin looking at atonement theories and start with the big one, substitutionary atonement. They look at how it is understood, misconceptions of the theory and common criticisms. They tackle topics surrounding child sacrifice, the wrath of God, the obedience of the Son, justice, and propitiation. Throughout their discussion there are a lot of disagreements and raised voices, but it makes for a great conversation. Drew even includes a "Chronicles of Narnia" reference; and Perry a "Lord of the Flies" reference.
