DJ Showcase #2 - JT (McNasty)
In the second-ever DJ showcase on The Shuffle Curious Podcast, we have the return of JT Thirakoun, also known as McNasty. While he started his DJ journey during the pandemic, music had always been his passion. After playing on a NSFW live stream (The DJ collective he is a part of) McNasty's DJing talent was recognized instantly. This initial boost of confidence propelled him into learning more and picking up shows.
From sharing the stage with renowned artists like One True God and What So Not, to gracing the decks at festivals like Luminescence and Gulch Fest in Colorado, McNasty's DJ career has experienced an accelerated ascent. Amidst his accomplishments, he candidly discussed the fears and uncertainties that come with being a DJ, revealing the raw truth of the profession.
In this episode, we explored McNasty's aspirations and his unwavering commitment to pursuing them. Bio:
JT Thirakoun is a dancer/shuffler, musician, DJ/producer from Raleigh, NC, who now spends most of his time in Denver, CO. Passionate about music, dance, fitness, and wellness practices such as breath-work, meditation, and cold/heat exposure, with an emphasis on cold plunging. He has formed communities in his own unique way in each practice and has helped lead others down a path of growth and wellness to benefit their own lives.
